About Our History
Founded in 2016 in the busy coal town of eMalahleni, KES emerged to address a growing need. Mines and power stations demanded quality pump repairs, but local providers were scarce. We stepped in, delivering top-tier engineering services to the heart of eMalahleni’s industrial hub.
Starting with pump maintenance, we’ve grown into an electro-mechanical engineering powerhouse. Today, we offer a wide range of services, from detailed workshop repairs to large-scale on-site maintenance.

Marvin
Operations Manager
Hey there! I’m Marvin Chuma, the Operations Manager at Kudon Engineering Services. With a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Zimbabwe and a Masters in Engineering Management from the University of Pretoria, I’ve got more degrees than a thermometer!
I’ve been fixing things and leading teams for over 15 years, working in mines, factories, and power plants. I help keep the lights on — kind of like a superhero, but with a hard hat instead of a cape. I joined Kudon Engineering Services as a part-time consultant in 2016 and finally went full-time in 2019. Now, I handle bids, manage contracts, and run the workshop—where the real magic happens.
When I’m not busy at work, I’m a family man with a wife, two kids, and a questionable allegiance to Manchester United. For fun, I listen to business podcasts and read books, pretending I’m a big-shot entrepreneur.
So, that’s me—just your average guy with a few degrees, a cool job, and a soft spot for a struggling football team.

Tomuonga Gondobwe
Engineer
I’m Tomuonga Gondobwe, and I joined KES in September 2019. I am a Quantity Surveyor by profession but currently employed as a Contracts manager at Kudon Engineering Services. Primarily, I am in charge of the KES bidding department and am also involved in the contract negotiations prior to projects award. I am a team player, easy going individual and motivated towards my personal and KES’ success as a whole.

My name is Nomfundo Nicole Dlamini, and I am 23 years old. I started my journey with Kudon Engineering Services in July 2023 as a volunteer. From the very beginning, I was eager to learn and immerse myself in the company, which led to me securing a contract position as an admin personnel. During this time, I also had the opportunity to manage an ERI project at Arnot, which was a significant learning experience for me.Currently, I hold the position of HR Manager at Kudon Engineering Services, where I am responsible for all HR processes within the company.Kudon Engineering Services is my first job, and in a short span of time, I’ve gained invaluable exposure to various aspects of the industry. I am excited to continue growing and contributing to the company’s success.

I’m Sean Nkosi, a Projects Manager & MRP ( Material Resources Planner at Kudon Engineering Services (KES), based at Grootvlei Power Station. I studied Management Services at the University of Johannesburg and have been with KES since the 15th of March 2021. My role involves managing and delivering complex projects, always striving to meet and exceed client expectations with the highest standards.
